NAME

kwenza-build - Compile the current project

SYNOPSIS

kwenza build [options]

DESCRIPTION

Resolves dependencies and compiles src/main/java to <output-dir>/classes, copying src/main/resources alongside the compiled classes if that directory exists. Produces no packaged artifact: see kwenza-package(1) for that.

Dependencies come from kwenza.lock when it matches kwenza.toml, and from Maven Central otherwise, in which case the lock is rewritten. Only [dependencies] go on the compile classpath: [dev-dependencies] are for tests only.

An empty or missing src/main/java isn’t an error: there’s nothing to compile, so nothing is.

-v
--verbose: Print extra detail: one line per resolved dependency when resolving from Maven Central, and the full java command (binary path and every classpath entry) when running something.

EXIT STATUS

0: kwenza succeeded.
1: kwenza failed, for a reason you can fix; the error message says what and how.
2: the command line was invalid: an unknown command or option.
101: kwenza hit a bug in itself. Please report it, with the output of --verbose.
